Food Trucks in Goa: 6 Food Trucks Worth Driving To in 2026

Updated: Oct 2026

Food trucks have been part of Goa’s food scene for years now, but the scene has changed quite a bit since I first wrote this guide back in 2019. Some trucks have disappeared, some have moved, and a few have managed to stick around and become proper local favourites.

So I’ve given this list a much-needed clean-up and added some of the food trucks I’ve been eating at more recently.

I’ve personally visited the places on this list because, with food trucks, knowing where to find them is only half the battle. Locations and timings change, and not every truck is worth driving across Goa for. From shawarmas and massive chicken chunks to Goan snacks, BBQ and Mexican food, these are the food trucks I’d put on your Goa food trail in 2026.

Food Trucks in Goa: A Local’s Guide to Where to Go

SMOKED BBQ TAXI, SALIGAO

This might be one of the more fun food-truck setups in Goa – the BBQ grill is literally in the boot of a black-and-yellow taxi parked near Saligao Church. The focus here is grilled chicken, and the smoky flavour is the reason to come. We ordered the chicken wings, which were absolutely succulent and easily one of my favourites from the meal. The chicken leg pieces were tasty too.

We also tried the chicken tikka. You get 10 pieces to a plate, although the pieces themselves were quite small compared to the chicken popcorn/chunks you get at some other places. Still, they’re nicely grilled and smoky. If you think a plate of these will be enough to share as a snack, it probably won’t – the pieces are quite small. Order a couple of different things rather than relying on one plate.

The menu goes beyond the regular BBQ chicken, with hot and spicy chicken, peri peri chicken, special chicken, grilled pineapple and vegetarian BBQ options including paneer, pineapple, and mushrooms. They also have combo meals if you’re looking for something more substantial.

Most dishes are around ₹200, and two people would comfortably spend ₹500–800 at Smoked BBQ Taxi.

If you’re around Saligao and craving smoky grilled chicken rather than another sit-down meal, this is a fun little detour.

📍 Location: Near Saligao Church
💰 For two: ₹500–800
🍗 Try: Chicken wings, BBQ chicken, special chicken leg pieces

HEAVENLY CRUST, SALIGAO

Heavenly Crust used to be a food truck in Porvorim, but it has since moved to Saligao – and the new setup is actually part of what makes it worth visiting.

Rather than just grabbing your food and leaving or eating by the roadside, there’s a proper little dining area with warm lighting and comfortable spots to sit, making it a nice place to hang out and catch up with friends. The food is still prepared out of the food truck itself, rather than a conventional restaurant kitchen.

You’ll find the usual comfort-food suspects here, including pizzas, fries, and garlic bread, along with other bites. My go-to pizza here is called Mr. Smokey. So while Heavenly Crust may technically be a food truck, the current setup feels more like a casual hangout where you can actually sit down, eat, and spend some time. An order of fries, garlic bread and pizza would set you back ₹800. For those who appreciate authentic Italian pizzas, I have a blog post on where you should go.

📍 Location: Saligao
💰 Pizza + fries + garlic bread: Around ₹800
🍕 Try: Mr. Smokey
⭐ Good for: A casual hangout

SAJ FOOD TRUCK, GMC, BAMBOLIM

Saj Food Truck has been one of my favourites for a long time, and every time I pass through the GMC area, there’s usually a massive crowd around the truck. Don’t let that put you off, though – they’re incredibly efficient, and the crowd is served surprisingly quickly.

The shawarma is what I usually go for, but the burgers are worth ordering too. They’re absolutely massive and loaded with crispy fried chicken. They have various types of shawarmas on offer. I usually get the classic one. Most of the time, it’s good, although sometimes the cabbage-to-chicken ratio is way off and you end up with far more cabbage than chicken.

Then there are the French fries, which are lovely and crisp, and another great dish that they call chicken chunks. Think chicken popcorn, except these pieces are huge. You get an entire loaded plateful, and unless you’re exceptionally hungry, it’s really not something you can finish alone.

Saj is particularly useful if you’re at Goa Medical College, whether visiting someone or caring for a patient. It’s quick, filling and considerably more interesting than settling for whatever’s available inside the hospital.

I actually drive up here at least once a month for the shawarma and chicken chunks, so this isn’t one of those food trucks I’ve visited once for the sake of adding it to a list.

📍 Location: GMC, Bambolim
🍗 Try: Shawarma, chicken chunks, crispy chicken burger, fries

LAS HARMANAS, VARIOUS LOCATIONS

Las Hermanas is a little different from the other food trucks on this list. For starters, it’s Mexican, and secondly, it’s not permanently parked in one spot. The orange food truck moves between locations, so you’ll need to check their Instagram stories to see where they’re setting up before you head out. They operate in the evening, from around 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, making this more of a dinner stop than a daytime food truck.

The menu has a fun mix of Mexican-inspired dishes with some Goan influence. I went with 3 friends, and we tried around 10 plates between the 4 of us, shelling out around ₹4,000, a massive spend for a food truck. Granted, we ordered a lot of food, but the portions were so small that we had to!

I loved the lamb birria, chicken cafreal taco, and avocado tostada. I do think they’re ridiculously expensive for a food truck, especially given the portion sizes. But the food itself is genuinely good – the quality is restaurant-level, if not better – and clearly there is a crowd willing to follow the truck around Goa for it.

One of the things I particularly liked was the Mexican hot chocolate, which was probably the most memorable thing I had that evening. That and the absolutely perfect churros with coconut jaggery sauce was top notch.

A couple of things to know before you go: Las Hermanas doesn’t serve beef or pork. It’s also not really the place I’d recommend if you’re looking for a quick ₹200-ish food-truck meal. However, the quality of the food is restaurant quality, if not better.

💰 ₹1,000 per person
🌮 Try: Lamb birria, chicken cafreal taco, avocado tostada, churros with coconut jaggery sauce
🍫 Don’t miss: Mexican hot chocolate

NORONHA’S CORNER, ASSAGAO/ANJUNA

If you’re looking for a late-night food truck in North Goa, Noronha’s Corner is one to know about. It’s located at the Assagao-Anjuna junction and serves up Goan favourites and street food well into the night.

This is also one of those food trucks where I learnt not to trust the timings listed online. I actually drove here more than 10 times on different days and at different evening hours and repeatedly found the truck missing from its spot at the time Google/Zomato said it should be open. I’d often spot it later, after I’d already had dinner.

So, if you’re planning a special trip here, I’d check their latest timings before heading out.

The menu includes Cafreal Pao, Goan snacks, gravies and other local favourites. I’ve tried the beef croquettes, which were fairly standard Goan bakery fare and didn’t particularly stand out. The chicken cutlet bread was more disappointing – there were only a few pieces of cabbage and a chicken fillet in the bread, and I thought it could have really used some gravy, or even just a bit of butter.

That said, Noronha’s Corner is still worth knowing about if you’re looking for a late-night food stop in this part of Goa, particularly if you want something local rather than the usual restaurant meal.

🕐 ~8 PM–12:30 AM
🍞 Try: Cafreal Pao / Goan snacks
🌙 Good for: Late-night local food

Food trucks in Anjuna Vagator

MEAL KART, VAGATOR

Where are my shawarma lovers at? Meal Kart is one of those food trucks that makes the most of its location, because you get cliffside views while you eat – not exactly something you find at every food truck in North Goa.

The shawarmas here are good but fairly spicy, so if you like a bit of heat with your food, you’ll probably enjoy them. But my favourite thing on the menu is actually the chicken cutlet bread. It beats the other things I’ve tried here, with the Chicken Cafreal bread coming in next.

When I first visited, everything was priced at around ₹80, which I thought was pretty reasonable for the quantity and quality. Since prices can obviously change over time, check the current menu when you visit.

If you’re around Vagator and want a casual roadside meal with a view, Meal Kart is a good one to keep on your radar. They also have an outpost in Parra.

🌶️ Note: The shawarma is spicy

Love visiting food trucks in Goa?

Food trucks are one of my favourite ways to eat in Goa, partly because you never quite know what you’re going to find, and partly because some of my most regular food stops are places I’d probably never have gone looking for if I hadn’t spotted a truck by the roadside.

Just keep in mind that locations and timings can change, sometimes without much warning. Always check the truck’s latest Instagram update before making a special trip.

And if I’ve missed a food truck that you think belongs on this list, let me know. I’m always looking for an excuse to go eat somewhere new.

I stopped by Jerry’s in Bambolim and had to cancel my order, run away, and douse myself in disinfectant. They have some of the worst food service hygiene I have ever seen.

Raw chicken everywhere, touching raw chicken and then preparing sandwiches without washing hands, pouring platefuls of contaminated breadcrumbs back into the breadcrumb jar after breading raw meat, touching everything (knobs, containers, bread, knifes, money, ….) with raw chicken contaminated hands… They are an outbreak of salmonella waiting to happen

Hi! Thanks for taking the time out to comment. I frequently visit this food truck and never faced any upset tummy issues. It is street-food after all, and while I do agree that hygiene is paramount everywhere, be it a 5-star hotel or a food truck, I think minor drawbacks are to be expected when the food comes out of a 3×2 open kitchen. That said, this food truck, being outside GMC has most of their clientele being doctors, people who care very much about hygiene and who wouldn’t patronize a spot that can cause Salmonella. This food truck doesn’t even know that I’ve written about them, I have no relation to them whatsoever. If I come across any of the issues you’ve noticed, I’ll be sure to bring it to their attention. It would be good if you did that as well.

Thanks for your comprehensive write-up. I was put up in Anjuna for a week and regularly visited Noronhas after 11 PM. I loved their chicken cafreal and burgers. They also had whiskey based chocolates which vanished within minutes when I brought them home. Too bad your experience wasn’t that great. You’ve given me a wide choice to cover if and when I visit Goa again! Longing for those days!
